DOLLENA LILLIAN "DOLLY" WARD

WARD, Dollena Lillian "Dolly" - 89, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Lavinia Street, New Glasgow passed away August 14, 1999, in the Glen Haven Manor. Born in Upper White Head, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late James Galford and Brittle (Dobson) Feltmate. She has been a guest at Glen Haven Manor for the past four years. She was a member of First United Baptist Church, New Glasgow. She was a life member of the Agnes Waring W.M. S. She was employed at the Valley View Villa Riverton and then at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow until her retirement. Surviving are her second husband, Charles A. Ward, New Glasgow; sons, Charles Anthony, Jr. (Robin) Ward, New Glasgow; Aulden (Mary) Brooks, Salem, Pictou Co.; Oakley (Sonia) Brooks, Belleville, Ont.; daughter, Joyce (Hayward) Baker, New Glasgow; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Smith, Halifax. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Brooks; brothers, Lester and Oakley; sisters, Goldie Schrader, Sadie Newell; granddaughter, Tracey Brooks. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Rev. Allan Jorgenson officiating, assisted by Hayward Baker. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Society, the Nova Scotia Diabetic Association or First United Baptist Church, New Glasgow.
