SMITH, Annie Cordelia
SMITH, Annie Cordelia - 97, Canso, passed away Monday, April 14, 2003, in Maplestone Enhanced Care, Fairview. Born in Whitehead, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Galfred and Brittle (Dobson) Feltmate. She was a homemaker and a very active member of Canso United Baptist Church. Surviving are daughter, D. Mae Smith, Lower Sackville; sons, Ambrose (June), Hammonds Plains; Lester (Ros), Halifax; sister-in-law, Mandy Feltmate, Canso; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, William; sisters, Goldie Schrader, Sadie Newell, Dollena Ward; brothers, Lester and Oakley. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in Canso United Baptist Church, Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Fourth Hill Cemetery. Thanks to the staff of Hale Court, Maplestone Enhanced Care, for their kindness and care to Annie during her time there. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday. "
