OAKLEY ROSS FELTMATE

FELTMATE, Oakley Ross - 91, Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, formerly of Canso, died March 21, 1999, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Whitehead, he was a son of the late James and Brittle E. (Dobson) Feltmate. He was a retired fisherman and a member of Canso United Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Gloria (Mrs. Lawrence Johnson), Wanda, Halifax; Sharon (Mrs. Gerald Mont), Lower Sackville; Phyllis (Mrs. Gerald Ryan), Kitchener, Ont.; Sandra (Mrs. Cyril Horne), New Minas; son, Oakley, Lower Sackville; sisters, Mrs. Annie Smith, Halifax; Mrs. Dolly Ward, New Glasgow; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret Swaine; brother, Lester; sisters, Sadie, Goldie. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Canso United Baptist Church, Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial at a later date in Fourth Hill Cemetery.
