HOWARD PATRICK CASHIN

CASHIN, Howard P - 76, Tracadie, died Sunday in St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Port Felix, he was the son of the late John and Annie Boudreau Cashin. He owned and operated Cashin's General Store in Tracadie for over 42 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Parish Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, the former Agnes LeBlanc; a son Frank, Dallas, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Cecelia Dort, Chicopee, Mass.; three brothers, Harry, Halifax; John and Francis, both of Port Felix. He was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor, and an infant brother. The body is at St. Peter's Community Funeral Home, Tracadie. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in st. Peter's Church, Tracadie, Rev. Frank Morley officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Cemetery Fund or Antigonish Branch, Canadian Cancer Society.

CASHIN, Patrick Howard - 76, Tracadie, died Sunday in St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Port Felix, he was the son of the late John and Annie Selina (Boudreau) Cashin. He was a member of St. Peter's Parish, Tracadie and the Holy Name Society. He owned and operated his own groceteria in Tracadie for nearly 45 years. He was a well-known member of the community and of the Antigonish Merchant's Association. He is survived by his wife, the former Agnes LeBlanc; a son Frank, Dallas, Tex.; three brothers, Harry, Halifax; John and Francis, both of Port Felix; a sister, Cecelia Dort (Mrs. Walter Dort), Chicopee, Mass.; a nephew, Rev. Robert Cashin, who lived with the Cashins for a number of years. He was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Dort, a brother in infancy. Funeral service was Wednesday at Saint Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Tracadie. Rev. Robert Cashin officiating assisted by Rev. Frank Morley, PP and Rev. Gerald David. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Saint Peter's Parish Cemetery Fund.
