NEW GLASGOW
- David Joseph Pelerine, 75, of 521 Mountain Road, died Thursday in the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in Larry's River he was the son of the late Bernard and Margaret (Avery) Pelerine.
He was a retired foreman with Maritime Steel and was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Elizabeth A Richards, are four daughters, Anne (Mrs. James Pelerine) and Helen (Mrs. John Richards), both of New Glasgow; Mary (Mrs. Donald Cameron), Antigonish; Pauline (Mrs. Herman Olsen), Rhode Island; two sons, Wilfred and Henry, New Glasgow; a foster son Greg, Stoney Creek, Ont.; 31 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Mrs. Harry Little), Halifax; three brothers, Paul, New Glasgow; Wilson, Hantsport; Alex, Cambridge, Mass.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Angus, and a sister Helen.
The body is at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Requiem mass will be held Sunday from St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Interement will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
