MARY MATHILDA LITTLE

LITTLE, Mary Mathilda - 84, Melville Lodge, Halifax, formerly of Lower Sackville, died November 22, 1994, in the lodge. Born at Larry's River, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret (Avery) Pelrine. She was a long time resident of Lakeview Avenue, Lower Sackville, and was one of the founding members of the Sackville Recreation Club. She was a volunteer worker at many club activities, raising money for various charities. She became a life member of the club and an avid dart player, winning several trophies. She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Simmons, Newport, Hants County; Mrs. Ruth Garrison, Halifax; brother, Wilson, Hantsport; sister, Ruth Hamn, Purcells Cove; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry A.; sister, Helen; brothers, Alex, David, Walter, Paul, Angus. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Altantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., where funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Johnm Finalyson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to The Lung Association or any charity.
