PELLERIN, Arthur Joseph
PELLERIN, Arthur Joseph - 81, Dartmouth, passed away April 3, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Larry's River, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Leo and Victoria (Richard). Art was a hardworking, fair and generous man. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served with the Royal Canadian Navy in Newfoundland during that time. Following the war, he worked with Canadian National Railway and later was self-employed until he retired. He is survived by sons, Leo (Shirley), Ron (Ellen), Michael (Myra), Tom (Doris), and Art (Elsie); daughters, Brenda, Donna (Maurice), Cathy and Bev (Gordie) Pearce; daughter-in-law, Linda; sisters, Rita (Alex) MacDonald and Lillian (Donald) MacDonald; sisters-in-law, Lizzie (Malcolm) Parrott, Melitta (Marcus) Parrott and Margaret; long-time friend and caregiver, Daniel Dennis; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Hiscock; son, Basil; brothers, Bill and Ronald; sister-in-law, Irene. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St., Dartmouth. Funeral mass will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church (Courtney Road), Father Dariusz Misiolek officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association. The family would like to express thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the Dartmouth General Hospital for the compassion and care shown to their father.
