AVERY, Harold Joseph
AVERY, Harold Joseph - 64, Dartmouth, passed away on November 29, 2000, at home. Born in Larry's River, Guysborough Co., he was a son of Isaac and Charlotte Avery. He worked in the carpentry industry most of his life and for the last 10 years he was the owner of Harold Avery's Carpentry Services of Dartmouth. Harold was happiest spending time with family and friends especially if a card game was involved. Besides his loving wife, Geraldine (MacDonald), he is survived by daughters, Sherri, Darlene and Carla, all of Dartmouth. He is also survived by brothers, Donald (Virginia), Halifax; Ronald (Linda), Dartmouth; Joseph (Garnett), Larry's River; Joseph (Debbie), Dartmouth; sisters, Claire (Hugh), Dartmouth; Gladys (Bob), Ontario; Betty, Larry's River; Doris (Don), Bedford; Alice, Ontario; Marion (Jay), Ontario; Millie, New Glasgow; Eva, New Glasgow. Visitation will take place 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12 noon Saturday in St. Thomas More Church (corner of Main St. and Caledonia), Rev. Joseph MacKinnon officiating. Reception to follow in the parish hall. Burial to take place in Memorial Gardens following reception. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
