AVERY, Marguerite Helene
AVERY, Marguerite Helene - 89, Lundy, Guysborough Co., died Monday, December 29, 2003, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Larry's River, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Marcel and Alice (Boudreau) Avery. She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Larry's River. In earlier years, she worked in the lobster factory in Larry's River and later operated Avery's Canteen in Lundy and was the post mistress for the area. Marguerite was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by sons, Archie (Beulah), Kenneth (Jean), both of Lundy; daughter, Shirley (Vernon), Lundy; sister, Annie Bond, Port Felix; grandchildren, David, Antigonish; Julian (Angie), Larry's River; Nadine, Nicole, Kristina, all of Lundy; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Danika, Larry's River; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Michael; son, Michael Jr.; brothers, Louie, Clarence; sisters, Elizabeth Delorey, Irene Pellerine. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Communities Along the Bay Multi Use Facility Community Room, Larry's River. Funeral mass will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Larry's River, Father Will MacPherson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only by request. Memorial donations may be made in Marguerite's name to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital or to Communities Along the Bay Multi Use Facility.
