JARVIS, Harry Chymist - 83, Whitehead, Guysborough Co., died Monday, September 8, 2003, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Mair) Jarvis. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Felix, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Tor Bay Branch 117. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Army Service Corps. Harry was employed with the Department of Transportation as an electronics technician for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Clara Theresa MacDonald; son, Terrance, Whitehead; sister, Gertrude (Mrs. Harold MacKenzie), Canso; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, John; brother, Samuel. Visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral mass 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Felix, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only by request. Memorial donations in Harry's name to the Whitehead Fire Department or St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery Fund.
