ALICE CHRISTINA GERRIOR

GERRIOR, Alice Christina - 76, Lundy, Guysborough County, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Lundy, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Minne (Gerrior) De Young. She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Larrys River. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Simon Gerrior, at home; sons, Douglas (Florence), Gellen; Wilfred (Joy) and Brian (Joanna), all of Halifax; daughter, Carmelita De Young Gerrior, Montreal; sisters, Nina (Mrs. Wayne Martell), Sackville; Ola (Mrs. Wellsh Dobson), Wallace, Pictou Co.; Muriel De Young, Spryfield; Lena (Mrs. Angus Walker), Saint John, N.B.; Mabel Langille, Isaacs Harbour; grandchildren, Christopher Gerrior, Kimberly Gerrior and Robert "R.J." Gerrior; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Wilfred, Joe, Donald and Gary. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Larrys River, Rev. Charles J. Donovan officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements are entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
