EDWARD TRUEMAN MUNROE

MUNROE, Edward Trueman - 80, Shad Bay, passed away January 22, 2002, at home. Born in Yankee Harbour, Guysborough Co., he was a son of Leona Munroe and the late Albert Munroe. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving with the navy aboard submarines, after which he was employed with Oland Breweries up until his retirement. He had many passions including his boat "The Mary Ruby". Surviving are his wife of over 50 years, Mary; daughter, Shirley (Robert) Dill, West Dover; granddaughters, Elizabeth Young, Angela Morash, Lisa Riley; great-grand- sons, Blake and Adam Young, Brandon Riley, Andrew Morash; brothers, Howard, Morley, Eric, Calvin, Colin, Cyril; sisters, Margaret, Norma. He was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence, Murdock. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, where funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Rev. T.B. Tingley officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home. Cremation will take place with burial at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
