MOSES DANEIL AVERY

AVERY, Moses Daniel - 86, Beaver Bank, died December 22, 2001, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Larrys River, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Richards) Avery. He was very active in volunteer work for many organizations such as Beaver Bank Minor Hockey, Down East Old Time Fiddling Contest, Meals on Wheels and was one of the founders of Beaver Bank Minor Hockey Association. He was a member of Sackville Lions Club and a respected business man in the Sackville and Beaver Bank communities. He loved spending time at his cottage with his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, the former Lucille Hiltz; daughters, Tina (Ron Redden), Peggy (Jamie Towriss), both of Mount Uniacke; son, Shawn (Sandra), Beaver Bank; sisters, Sophie, Tracadie; Jeanette, London, Ont.; grandchildren, Jeff, Chris, Craig, Samantha, Allison. He was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Carol; several brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, December 27, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Sackville. Funeral 10 a.m. Friday, December 28, in St. John Vianney Church. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice. maritimeobits.com
