EVERETT KITCHNER FELTMATE

FELTMATE, Everett Kitchner - 81, 2718 Main St., Port Morien, died April 10, 1998, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Whitehead, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Angus and Bessie (Munroe) Feltmate. He was a member of St. John's United Church, Port Morien. He resided in Port Morien for 52 years. He was a retired fisherman and carpenter. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the RCNVR. He was a member of the Cape Breton Naval Veteran's Association and the Carpenters Union. Surviving are his wife, the former Annie Iola Peach; daughter, Glenda (Mrs. Jon Stone), Dartmouth; sons, Donald (Theresa), Dartmouth; Blaine (Darcie), Ottawa; sisters, Ada (Mrs. Vernon Munroe), Halifax; Dora (Mrs. Lawrence Snyder), Sheet Harbour; brother, Donald, Sheet Harbour; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Harry, Austin. Memorial service was held April 13 in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home chapel, Glace Bay, Rev. Jim Chisholm officiated. Burial in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations to Hospice/Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton or St. John's United Church memorial fund, Port Morien.
