LARRY'S RIVER - Funeral services were held recently for Howard Augustus Pellerin, 60, well-known merchant and fish dealer, who died as a result of injuries received in a highway accident. When his father died in 1950, Mr. Pellerin took over management and ownership of the retail store and fish business, catering to Guysborough County shore fishermen. He served as a municipal councillor from 1934 until his death; he was also a member of the school board since 1947, and had served as a church warden for 11 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Pearl Pitts of Charlos Cove; two sons, Elliott, Brampton, Ont.; and Gary, Mabou; two daughters, Elaine (Mrs. Laurie Jewers), Halifax and Shirley (Mrs. Brian Cormier), Toronto; two sisters, Mrs. Allan Pellerin, Larry's River and Christine, Somerville.
