| CASEY, Daniel Patrick, 82, Milfred Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, formerly of Port Felix, Guysborough County, died Thursday in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Charlos Cove, he was a son of the of the late Daniel and May (Snyder) Casey. He was a member of St. Joseph's parish, Port Felix, a retired commercial fisherman, and was employed for a number of years by the Department of Transport as lighthouse keeper in Port Felix and Canso. He is survived by his the the former Lucy Ferilda Doiron; a daughter, Ina Doiron, Port Felix; two sons, Laurie, Port Felix; Patrick, Fairview; three stepsons, Donald Bellefontaine, Mount Uniacke; Placide Bellefontaine, Spryfield; Duncan Bellefontaine, Port Felix; a stepdaughter, Lorraine (Mrs. John Verville), Strathmore, Alta.; four sisters, Annie ( Mrs. Arthur Derabbie), Blanche (Mrs. John Rossong), both of Hazel Hill; Effie (Mrs. Henry Spears), Whitehead River, Guysborough County; Mary (Mrs. Scott Hart), Alberta; eight grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren: two great-grand-children He was predeceased by a son, Arthur; two stepsons, Joseph, Peter; three brothers, Dennis, Howard, Ernest. The body is in St. Joseph's Church, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and Saturday, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. James Atwood officiating. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph's Parish. |
