MacKENZIE, James Alphonse "Fonnie"
MacKENZIE, James Alphonse "Fonnie" - 81, Greenwold Manor, Antigonish, formerly of Tracadie, passed away May 5, 2005, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Port Felix, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Simon and Bridget (Richard) MacKenzie. Fonnie was a truck driver and a farmer who devoted his life to looking after his parents. He was a kind person who readily gave a helping hand to all. He is survived by sister, Delphine MacKenzie, Halifax; Jean McNeary, Canso; many nieces, nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by two infant brothers; sisters, Cecilia, Victoria, and Mary. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, with Father John Barry presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
