MYERS, Harold Clayton
MYERS, Harold Clayton - 96, Guysborough, formerly of New Harbour, died Friday, December 24, 2004, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Cole Harbour, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Frederick and Catherine (Gillie) Myers. He was a fisherman for many years. He worked for Sobeys (Saint John, N.B.) for several years until he retired to care for his wife, Myrtle (Smith) Myers until her death. He was a member of New Harbour Baptist Church. He is survived by daughter, Shirley (Gerald) Sangster. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Myrtle Smith (1984); son, Chester Donald (1999); brothers, Willard, Truman, Seldon; Chester, Winfield, and Howard; sister, Gertrude Stanford; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7-9 p.m., with funeral service on Wednesday at 2 p.m., both in New Harbour Baptist Church, Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to New Harbour Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
