Stellarton Woman Passes Away In V.G.
Stellarton - Mrs. George ALLARD, Bridge Street, died Sunday afternoon at
the Victoria General Hoapital, Halifax, following a period of ill health.
She was the former Barbara Hefferman and was born at White Head,
Guysborough Co., 72 years ago, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hefferman.
Mrs. Allard had been a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle, Marsh
Street.
She is survived by her husband, five sons, Clarence, Thorburn; Oakley,
Bridgeville; Hardy, Granville and George, all of Stellarton; two daughters,
Dorothy (Mrs. Ira MacKenzie), Stellarton; Loretta (Mrs. Hodgson), Stellarton; two sisters, Goldie (Mrs. Brooks), Westville, and Hilda (Mrs. Cornett), Priestville; and 28 grandchildren.
The remains will rest at her late residence on Bridge Street, and funeral
arrangements are incomplete, but the service will be conducted by her
pastor, Rev. Paul Melanchuck. The interment will be in the MacLennan's
Mountain cemetery.
