DAVID, Mary Monica - 82, Port Felix, Guysborough Co., died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Port Felix, she was a daughter of the late Dennis Vincent and Clara Agnes (Pelrine) Cashin. Monica was a devoted mother and grandmother and thought more of her family than anything else. She loved to quilt, knit and always prayed to St. Anne and she was happiest when she was giving to others. She is survived by sons, Victor, American Harbour; Wayne and Lionel (Regina), both of Port Felix; daughter, Sharon (Mrs. Jerome David), Port Felix; brothers, Walthen (Anita), Port Felix; Joseph (Hilda), Cobourg, Ont.; Arthur, Walkerton, Ont.; Paul (Rena), Charlos Cove; Danny (Grace), Haliburton, Ont.; Elmo (Dorothy), Dartmouth; sisters, Excilda (Mrs. Patrick Boudreau), Rita (Mrs. Andrew Richard), Jacqueline Leblanc (Harry), all of Port Felix; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Nicholas; brothers, Jude, Steven; niece, Denise Cashin. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and funeral mass will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, both in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Felix, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Homes Ltd., Country Harbour.
