PEART, Myra June - 61, Tor Bay, Guysborough Co., died Tuesday, October 21, 2003, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Dort's Cove, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late William Leland and Edith Letitia (Dort) Kirby. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Tor Bay. In earlier years, June and her husband owned and operated Tor Bay Construction. June was very active in the Legion, the fire department and the church, donating her time for church suppers and collecting for various charities. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery and making Christmas ornaments. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; sisters, Shirley (Mrs. Carl Luddington), New Harbour; Vera Grover, Tor Bay; Marjorie Lewis, Halifax; nephews, Bill, Sam, Robert, Leland; nieces, Marian, Linda, Heather. She was predeceased by brother, Leland Burton; sister, Joyce. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m., both in Church of the Good Shepherd, Tor Bay, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
