WHITE, Elizabeth Anne - 93, R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish, formerly of J.J. Carroll House, Antigonish, Erinville, Guysborough Co. and Rouge Hills, Ont., died Wednesday, September 3, 2003, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Port Felix, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Cashin) Hanifen. She was a member of St. Ninian's Cathedral Parish. She worked mainly as a nurses aid at Rouge Hills Nursing Home, Rouge Hills, Ont. She is survived by son, Ralph Rogers and his wife a cherished daughter-in-law, Eileen, Scarborough, Ont.; brother, Anslem (Marie) Hanifen, Erinville; sister, Theresa McKinnon, Antigonish; nieces, Mary Beaton, Anne MacDougall, Vivian Hanifen, Donna Chisholm, Jacqueline Vosman; nephews, Eddie, Terry, Joe, Jack, Jim, Bernard and Robert Hanifen, Ed Kiley. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; sisters, Mary Crooker, Isabelle Hanifen. The remains are resting in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, with visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas Church, Salmon River, Rev. Will MacPherson officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
