HINCHCLIFFE, Muriel "Irene" - 75, Debert, passed away May 12, 2003, at home with her family. Born in Upper Whitehead, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Spurgeon and Carrie (Munroe) Snow. Irene worked as a seamstress in Toronto for several years. She and her late husband Frank were strongly involved in Boy Scouts. After moving home to Nova Scotia, she enjoyed her retirement by spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Hector (Noella), Ottawa, Ont.; Frank (Evelyn), Toronto, Ont.; daughter, Susan (Darrin) Black, Belmont; grandchildren, Andrew, Kyle, Kelsee, Kaine; sisters, Bernice Dennahower, Shirley Geddes, Roxanna (Ted) Thompson, all of Ontario; Florence (Gerald) Hall, East Mountain; Hope (Foster) McNutt, Kemptown; brother, Donald Snow, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Inez Schrader, Amy MacDonald, Winnifred Hilchie, Mildred Snow, Jean Chamberlain; brother, James Snow. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today with funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, Rev. Don MacQueen officiating. Burial in Middle Road Cemetery, Debert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Palliative Care Unit, Colchester Regional Hospital.
