DOUGLAS LAURIER GROVER

GROVER, Douglas Laurier - 92, Cross Roads Country Harbour, Guysborough Co., died Sunday, May 4, 2003, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. Born in Whitehead, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late William and Cordelia (Feltmate) Grover. In earlier years, he worked cutting pulp wood and also sold Christmas trees. He was also a farmer and a construction foreman with the Department of Transportation. Doug was an avid registered trapper for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Hanson; stepchildren, Arthur (Joann) Hanson, Athabasca; Bonnie McKinnon, Vancouver; Noreen (Mike) Watson, Houston, Tex.; John (Pat) Hanson, Hay Lakes; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Alice; sisters, Elsie, Wilma; brothers, Albert, Robert, Winslow, Seward, William, Arthur, and Wentzell Turner in infancy. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., both in Cross Roads United Baptist Church, Cross Roads Country Harbour, Pastor John Luten officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Cross Roads, Country Harbour. Family flowers only by request please. Memorial donations may be made to R.K.
