AVERY, Howard George
AVERY, Howard George - 73, Waltham, Mass., and formerly of Larry's River, Guysborough Co., died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, in Waltham Hospital, Massachusetts. Born in Larry's River, he was a son of the late Clement and Emily (Richard) Avery. He was a Korean War veteran having served with the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement he worked for many years as a truck driver with Canada Dry Beverages. He is survived by his wife, the former Florence LeBlanc; sisters, Eileen (Robert) Briand, Windsor, Ont.; brothers, Wilfred (Gloria) and Earl (Laura), both of Larry's River; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Christina Pellerin and Theresa Burns; brother, Paul. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, both in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Larry's River, Father Will MacPherson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
