FUNERAL SERVICES FOR NOTED PRIEST - FRIDAY, AUGUST 26,1960


Antigonish, NS - Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30, August 26-1960, at Petit-de-Grat for Father Charles Joseph FOREST, BA,LL.D. who died at his home Monday afternoon, August 22, 1960. Most Reverend William E Power DD., Bishop of Antigonish will celebrate pontifical requium mass in St Joseph's Church.
The sermon will be preached by Msgr. Albert Boudreau, PP. Margaree. Officers of the mass will include High Priest Rev.A.P.Poirior, Deacon Rev. John A Gillis, Sub-Deacon Rev. Hugh D. MacDonald, Deacons of Honor Rev. Albert Doucet and Rev. Conrad Gerrior.
The office for the dead will be recited Thursday night at 8 o'clock in St. Joseph's Church. His remains are now resting at the parish glebe house in Petit-de-Grat.
Father Forest was famous for his work as a co-operator in Larry's River for thirty-five years. He is survived by one brother Joseph in Watertown, Mass., and three sisters. Rose in Petit-de-Grat, Marie in Roxbury, Mass., and Annette in Toronto.
