TORBAY - Edith Letisia Kirby, 77, of Hazel Hill Rest Home, formerly of Dorts Cove, Guysborough County, died Thursday at the rest home. Born in Dorts Cove, she was a daughter of the late Christopher and Charity (Knocton) Dort. She was a member of St. Michael's Anglican Church, Dorts Cove. She is survived by four daughters, Marjorie (Mrs. Elwin Lewis), Halifax; Vera (Mrs. Leonard Grover), Coal Harbour, June (Mrs. Gilbert Peart), Torbay, Shirley (Mrs. Carl Luddington), New Harbour; a brother Gordon, Timberlea; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, William Leland; a son Leland, a daughter Joyce, a sister, Edna. The body is in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Torbay, where funeral will be 3 p.m Saturday, Rev. R. Walsh officiating, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough.
