REGINALD CARTER

WHITE HEAD, Guysborough County - Reginald Carter, 80, of White Head died Tuesday in Camp Hill Hospital. Born in White's [sic] Head, he moved to Halifax as a young man and joined the Royal Canadian Navy, serving in the Second World War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Vimy Branch. Surviving are his wife, Mary (Fitzgerald), Eastern Passage; two daughters, Amanda Mathews, Victoria, B.C., and Mrs. Jean Zinck, Dartmouth; six sons, Pat, Manford and Reginald, all of Dartmouth; Russell and Joseph, Eastern Passage; Stanley, Sackville; a brother Stanley Carter, Halifax; three sisters, Lita MacPherson, Halifax; Lois Nickerson, Canso, and Hilda in the U.S.; 35 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother Manford and three sisters, Elizabeth, Cora and Maude. The body is in Snow's Funeral Home where the funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday.
