ELIZABETH MARY 'BETTE' MUNROE

MUNROE (Casey), Elizabeth Mary - 70, Prospect Bay, passed away July 7, 2001, in the VG Site, QEII, after losing a battle with cancer. Born January 17, 1931, in Port Felix, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Howard and Gertrude (Bond) Casey. Elizabeth was a resident of Prospect Bay for 44 years. She is survived by daughter, Geraldine (Robert) Creelman, Prospect; son, Michael, Prospect Bay; grandson, Keith Munroe, Windsor, Ont.; granddaughters, Janice (Wayne) Caldwell, Prospect Bay; Carrie-Anne, Halifax; Tammy, Prospect; great-grandsons, Christopher and Cody; sister, Precilla Marr, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; infant son, Donnie; sister, Geraldine Cashin; brother, Steven Casey. The family would like to thank the doctors, staff and friends for making Elizabeth's last days comfortable. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Shad Bay, Father Fisher officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in her home community in Port Felix, Guysborough Co. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the family in Elizabeth's memory.
