MELBA ESTELLE FARRELL

FARRELL, Melba Estelle - Richmond, B.C., died August 2, 1995, in British Columbia. Born in Whitehead, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Maude and Alden Monroe. She met and married Walter Farrell, a naval officer in Halifax and together they moved to Fort William just after the war. Her passion in life was bridge where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She moved to Richmond, B.C., in August 1994. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Walter; son, Brien, Calgary; daughter, Darlyne, Richmond; three grandchildren; sister, Thelma Walters, Sidney, B.C.; brothers, William, Whitehead; Clarel, Halifax; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers; a sister. Cremation has taken place. Funeral was held August 12 in St. Alban's Anglican Church, Rich- mond. Burial at a later date in Whitehead.
