MARY "MAY" LeBLANC

LeBLANC, Mary "May", RN - 81, Tracadie, Antigonish Co., died March 6, 2000, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Cole Harbour, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Murray) Dort. She graduated from New Waterford Hospital School of Nursing in 1942. She was a veteran of the Second World War, having served as a nursing sister with the Army Medical Corps in England. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Arras Branch 59, Antigonish; a member and past president of St. Peter's Parish CWL. She is survived by daughter, Linda (Larry) Wood, Aulds Cove; sons, Ralph (Hazel), Calgary; Tony (Theresa), Larry (Debbie), Robert (Nancy), all of Tracadie; brother, Pat, Guysborough; sister, Ella Dort, Antigonish; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George; brothers, Leo and Colin, and a sister in infancy. Visitation will be in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, Rev. John Barry officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Place or charity of choice. Arrangements are entrusted to C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.
