FRANCIS RHODE RICHARD

RICHARD, Francis Rhode - 67, Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co., died April 20, 1997, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born at Charlos Cove, he was a son of the late Alexander Matthew and Mary (Richard) Richard. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Charlos Cove. He was a retired employee of Canso Seafoods and owned and operated a general store in Charlos Cove for a number of years. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, the former Diane Gerrior; daughters, Geneve, Hazel, at home; Brenda, Larrys River; sons, Donald, Ottawa; Hughie, Cooks Cove; eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Francis Albert (Junior); sister, Genieve Richard; brother, Albert. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday, both in St. Joseph's Church, Rev. Dwaine Devereaux officiating. Burial in St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to any charity. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
