DELLA NINA MYERS

MYERS (Munroe), Della Nina - 92, Halifax, formerly of Pugwash, died August 23, 1995, in Northwood Centre, Halifax. Born on May 28, 1995 *[sic], in Whitehead, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Annie (Ehler) Munroe. She lived for some time in Pugwash and was a member of Eastern Star Lodge, Halifax chapter and Sunrise chapter 50, Pugwash; member of Grace United Church, Whitehead; Wesley-St. Matthew's United Church, Pugwash and St. Luke's Church, Dartmouth. She was on the first board of directors at Northwood Manor, member of the auxiliary, and active in numerous organizations and community affairs. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are sons, Ernie, Ottawa; Rod, Fredericton, N.B.; Lee, Winnipeg, Man.; daughters, Ruth Wheeler, Toronto; Ruby (Mrs. Gibson Orr), Lower Sackville; Eve (Mrs. William MacKenzie), Pauline Barteaux, Isabel (Mrs. Earl Wile), Dartmouth; 20 grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Clyde Munroe; second husband, Leo Myers; daughter, Jennie MacLaurin; brothers, Allan, Norman, Ernest; sisters, Belle MacKinley, Blanche Nelson. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, Eastern Star service 7:30 p.m. tonight, funeral 2:30 p.m. Friday, all in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash, Rev. Ewen Moase officiating. Burial in Palmerston Cemetery, Pugwash. In lieu of flowers, donations to Della Myers Memorial Fund c/o Northwood Manor, Halifax.
