HENRY B. SPEARS

SPEARS - The death of Henry B. Spears occured at the Eastern Memorial Hospital on April 11th after a lengthy illness at the age of 79. He was the son of the late George S. Francis Spears. Born ay White Head he was a veteran fisherman. Surviving are his wife, the former Effie Casey, one stepson and four stepgrandchildren. Three sisters, Clara, Timmons Ontario; Hattie, East Bay, C.B. and Hazel, Halifax. Two brothers, Courtney and Frank, Stellarton, Nova Scotia. Also a number of nephews and nieces. Requeim high mass was held at St. Joseph's Church, Port Felix conducted by Fr. O'Brien with Mr. David, the organist. The choir was under the direction of Notre Dame sisters of Larry's River. Pallbearers were as follows; Nephews of the Kenneth Munroe, Max Munroe, Myerlen Munroe, Frederick Spears, Alvin Spears, Ross Swaine, Henry Spears and Donald Spears. Interment in the parish cemetery.
