JAMES ELISHA GROVER

WHITE HEAD- Funeral services were held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Wednesday for James Elisha Grover, who died at his home here Monday, August 25. Born in( 1876 or 78),a son of the late Sydney and Mary(Hyde) Grover, he was a retired fisherman and was warden of the church for over 60 years.
Besides his wife, the former Frances Jamieson of Peasbrook,Guys.Co., he is survived by three daughters: Margaret (Mrs.Ross Feltmate),Bayfield; Leata(Mrs.Alva Fraser) and Helen (Mrs.Alex Goodyear), both of Trenton; four sons: Harold E.,New Glasgow; Borden,Tor Bay; James in Trenton; Harold,Halifax; 32 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; one half-brother, Sydney,Halifax and a half-sister,Margaret, Moncton.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Viola, in infancy and also several brothers and sisters.
Rev.H.C. Quartermaine conducted the funeral service, assisted by his son, and the choir sang"Nearer My God To Thee" and "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus". Pallbearers were Ernest Pike, Moncton; Atwood Williams, Halifax; Wayne Jamieson, Peasbrook; Wayne Boyles and Joseph Fraser, Trenton, grandsons; and John Power, Halifax.
Internment was in the church cemetery.
