ARCHIBALD WILSON RICHARD

RICHARD, Archibald Wilson - 84, Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, formerly of Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co., died March 28, 1995, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Charlos Cove, he was a son of the late Timothy and Vinnie (Pitts) Richard. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Charlos Cove. He was a former employee with the Dept. of Fisheries, Pictou, and Western Union, laying underwater cable. He retired in 1975 from the Bedford Institute of Oceanography where he served on the MV Hudson. Surviving are his wife, the former Rita Richard; sons, Hugh, Gary, Charlos Cove; Roland, Montreal; daughters, Mabel (Mrs. Frank Boutilier), Halifax; Jean (Mrs. Lawrence Richards), Saint John, N.B.; Patricia, Montreal; brothers, James, Ralph, Dartmouth; sister, Charlotte (Mrs. Raymond Richard), Dartmouth; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Evelyn Hanrahan; sisters, Irene Pellerin, Kate Boudreau, Genesta LeBlanc. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, with funeral 10 a.m. Friday, both in St. Joseph's Church, Charlos Cove. Rev. Gerald Campbell officiating. Burial in parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to St. Joseph's Church building fund. Arrangements under the direction of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
