MAMIE MARGUERITE HENDSBEE

HENDSBEE, Mamie Marguerite - 74, Half Island Cove, died February 2, 1997, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born at Half Island Cove, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Beatrice (Greencorn) Greencorn. She was a member of Half Island Cove Baptist Church and a life member of the ladies auxiliary of Chedabucto Fire Department. Surviving are daughters, Lucinda (Mrs. Ronald Griffiths), Halifax; Jeanette (Mrs. James MacDonald), Cooks Cove; Paulette (Mrs. Floyd Andrews), Antigonish; Marion (Mrs. Wayne Hendsbee), Doris (Mrs. Leonard Creamer), Half Island Cove; Brenda (Mrs. William Richard), Canso; Donna (Mrs. Dorian Casey), Little Dover; sons, Doug, Brantford, Ont.; Havelock, Wallace, John, Half Island Cove; Seward, Barrie, Ont.; Michael, Philips Harbour; sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Creamer, Milford Haven Home, Guysborough; Mrs. Beulah Creamer, Philips Harbour; brothers, Murray, Port Williams; Howard, Half Island Cove; 40 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George S.; sisters, Hazel, Dale; brother, Hughie; grandchildren, Edith, Charlene. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday in Half Island Cove Baptist Church, Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Bayview Cemetery, Half Island Cove. Donations to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
