HILDA JOANNE PELLERIN


PELLERIN (Tarr), Hilda Joanne - 43, Larrys River, Guysborough Co., passed away November 7, 1998, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Guysborough, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. During this period, she was an inspiration to all who knew her. Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of John Rodney (Jack) and Marion Ann (MacLean) Tarr. After graduation from Sydney Mines High School in 1973, she attended the Nova Scotia Teacher's College in Truro, graduating in 1976. She began her teaching career in September 1976 in Riverview Consolidated School, New Harbour, and continued to teach for 22 years in the Guysborough County school system. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sydney Mines. Surviving are her husband, Blair, Larrys River; son, Jacques-Yves and daughter, Danielle, both at home; maternal grandmother, Hilda MacLean, Montague, P.E.I.; brother, Grant (Donna), Sydney; sister, Janice Tarr, Charlottetown; aunt, Joan MacLean, Montague. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-10 p.m. today and 2-3:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday, all in St. Peter's Church, Larrys River, Rev. Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or St. Peter's Parish Cemetery fund. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
