Michael Pellerine
AFTON, Antigonish County - Michael Pellerine, 80, of Afton, died Tuesday at Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Port Felix, he was a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Pellerine) Pellerine. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Church, Tracadie. He is survived by five daughters, Ruth (Mrs. Oliver Shupe) and Betty, both of Halifax; Mary (Mrs. Adam Chernikhowsky), Vancouver; Margaret (Mrs. Edward Gurney), Antigonish; Kathleen (Mrs. Lee Forsythe), Charlottetown; five sons, Andy, Afton, Dennis, Freddy, Joey, Danny, all of Halifax; 26 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Grace Perro and a sister, Angeline. The body will be at Curry's Funeral Home, Antigonish, after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, Rev. Frank Morley officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
