, May 27 - The citizens of this and neighbouring communities paid a glowing tribute Sunday afternoon to a beloved personality, Benijamin B. Richard, 56, who succumbed to a lengthy illness at St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish, Friday, May 22. Mr Richard was born in this community in 1880, where he lived mostly till his death. He was a son of Mrs. and the late Ben B. Richard and was beloved by all who knew him. At home he was a devoted master, fully attesting to his paternal dutied; always cheerful and sober, forever striving to increase family coherence and affection and making his simple abode a veritable earthly elysium. Religiously, he was a firm worshipper of the Roman Catholic church and had received its final rituals, prepatory to his death. Interment service was held Sunday afternoon at 1.00 o'clock in St. Joseph's church, Rev. Chas. Forrest, P.P., officiating. Requiem high mass was solemnized Monday morning at 7.00 o'clock. Besides his wife, Mrs. Margaret Richards, deceased is survived by his aged and widowed mother, three sons and one daughter, Joseph, Charles, Thomas and Catherine at home; also one brother, Remi and two sisters, Mrs. Tom Daley and Mrs. Thomas Boudreau, both of Cambridge, Mass.
