WILLIAM CHARLES GROVER

GROVER, William Charles (Bill) - 74, Guysborough, died October 10, 1993, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Cole Harbour, Guysborough County, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (George) Grover. He was a retired fisherman; veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Royal Canadian Artillery; member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 117, Torbay and member and former warden of Christ Church, Guysborough. He is survived by his wife, the former Elsie Birch; daughter, Linda (Mrs. George Crosman), Glace Bay; son, Keith, Calgary; sister, Mrs. Emma Henderson, Mclntyres Lake; two brothers. Sterling, Torbay; Clinton, Bayfield; 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jean; three brothers, Tom, Leonard and a twin in infancy; sister, Laura; grandson, Kevin. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Christ Church, Rev. Peter MacRae officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
