LEVANGIE, Joseph Basil - 51, Halifax, formerly of Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co., died Saturday, July 1, 2000, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Charlos Cove, he was a son of the late Joseph and Theresa (Richard) Levangie. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Halifax. He was employed with Halifax Insulation Limited. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a great love of the outdoors. He is survived by brother, Roland (Anne), Fall River; sisters, Rita (Mrs. Arthur Phalen), Toronto; Doris Pellerin, Larrys River; Perle (Mrs. Donald Connelly), Boylston; Shirley (Mrs. Raymond Mannette), Lower Sackville; aunts, Gladys Richard, Dartmouth; Sister Theresa Levangie CSM, Lethbridge, Alta.. He was predeceased by brothers in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m., both in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Charlos Cove, Rev. Charles Donovan officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Parish fund or to a charity of choice. Arrangements are entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
