DAVID L. AVERY

AVERY - David L. Avery, 83, of Tonawanda, Sunday evening (April 16, 1978) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Larry's River, Nova Scotia, he had been a resident of Tonawanda fifty years and was the husband of Marie G. Avery who died in 1972 and father of Douglas Avery
who died in 1960. Mr. Avery had been employed at Remington Rand Co. for more than 45 years and as a Production Supervisor at Sweeney St. plant, retiring in 1960. An Army veteran of World War 1, he was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Remington Rand 25 Year Club,
Tonawandas Post 264, American Legion, the Eldredge Club
and a life member of North Tonawanda Lodge 860 BPOE.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lupo of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Jerome Shirley Korff of Houston, Tex; two sons, Russell F. Avery of Springville, N.Y., and Robert T. Woolcott of Hamburg, N.Y.; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a funeral service at John O. Roth Funeral Home. Morgan and William Sts., Tonawanda at 11 am, Wednesday, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Ralph M. Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Elmlawn Cemetery (18).

David L. Avery was Eileen's great-uncle and was the
son of Alexander John Avery & Elizabeth Deslauriers.
