REMI AVERY

AVERY, Remi - 89, Port Felix, Guysborough County, died March 9, 1993, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Port Felix, he was a son of the late Hubert and Josephine (King) Avery. He was a retired fish buyer and carpenter. He also worked for many years as a foreman with Department of Highways and was a former justice of the peace. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary King; daughter, Agnes (Mrs. Walter Cashin), Port Felix; three sons, Eugene, Port Felix; Daniel, Little Dover; Placide, at home; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Marr; three brothers, Leo, Ruben, Freeman. The body is in St. Joseph's Church, Port Felix, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, where funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. James Attwood officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations may be made to Nova Scotia Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
