Tewksbury Almshouse Inmate Case Histories
The following was found in the Tewksbury Almshouse Inmate Case
Histories, Vol. 34, 12/1880 to 8/1881, Tewksbury, MA, cases 61845 and 62726:
61845 - Monroe, Emma, 17, came there from Gloucester April 13, 1881. 16, born White Haven, N. S., came to Lanesville some years ago and lived with uncle, Levi Dennett, about a year and returned to White Haven.
Landed in Gloucester July 1880 on Schooner "Addison Senter", there
since. Single, domestic. Father died in N. S. Mother now there.
Enceinte. Father of child William McCarty of Gloucester. Sister, Mary,
wife of Robert Grant, 334 Main St., Gloucester. McCarty is under bonds. Sister of 57007.
62726 - Monroe, Carrie, b. Sept. 14, 1881.
Discharged Dec. 14, 1881.
