PORT FELIX

 

Port Felix, May 11 - A very enthusiastic meeting was held in the Parish Hall on May 2, sponsored by the St. F.X. Extension Dept.  Purpose of the meeting was for the betterment of the community. Guest speakers were Rev. Fr. M.J. MacKinnon and Reid Sangster. Donald Feltmate was chairman.

Weekend visitors from Halifax were, Dennis King, Earl Levandier and Ernest Cashen.

Douglas Levandier, R.C.N., is spending his leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Levandier.

Sorry to report that Baby Cecil Cashin was operated on at St. Martha's Hospital in Antigoniah.

Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Pellerine and Mrs. Bernard Cashin were visitors in Canso during the week.

Buddy Boudreau is spending the week-end at tis [sic] home here.

Mr. and Mrs. B. Boudreau and Dennis Levandier were business visitors in Guysboro during the week.

Mrs. Gerald Munroe and daughter Gerry visited her sister, Mrs. Stanley Cashin.

Miss Frances George was a recent visitor in Half Island Cove, a guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Manford Hendsbee.
